Why do bad things happen to good people?

The longer I live out my faith, the more questions that I begin looking for answers to. If you have a question about what the Bible has to say about a particular subject, leave a comment and I will post a new topic in the blog for others to comment on. How do you know when God is calling you to do something? people pray about things but how would you know when hes answered and what his answer is?
Yeah, I’ve always wondered that too. Wether it was myself telling me what I should do or if it was God.
